What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractors are experts in diagnosing and treating conditions for all areas of the body, focused on muscle, bone, joint, and nerve health.

We use a non-invasive, drug-free approach to help you recover from injuries, reduce pain, increase mobility, and improve overall health and performance.

Through a comprehensive history and a biomechanical, orthopaedic, and postural assessment, we formulate a diagnosis and detailed plan of management tailored to you and your goals.

Treatments can incorporate a variety of techniques and modalities including adjustments (manipulation), joint mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, exercise and rehabilitation, stretches, cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, taping, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • An adjustment (joint manipulation) is when your chiropractor applies a directed & controlled force to your joints to restore limited range of motion, decrease pain, and reduce nerve irritation.

  • The “crack” sound you hear during your adjustment is just the joints opening up. It is NOT your bones “cracking”. When your joints are stiff, there’s a lot of pressure that is built up in the joint space – and the “pop” is just the sound of that pressure releasing, similar to the sound releasing when you open a can of soda.

  • YES adjustments are safe!

Your Chiropractor has been trained for years in the art & science of proper joint manipulations. They will always perform a thorough assessment to ensure adjustments are safe and beneficial for you – and will always work within your comfort level.

  • Our chiropractors treat using many different techniques, and our treatment plans are all patient-centred based on your condition and preferences.

If you don’t want an adjustment, it is NOT mandatory! We offer many alternative treatment options such as gentle joint mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, cupping therapy, exercise and rehabilitation, and more!

  • Our chiropractors practice using Diversified adjustment techniques as well as drop pieces.

  • Chiropractic care is covered under most insurance policies, but each individual is responsible for contacting their insurance company to understand and know the extent of their coverage prior to booking their appointment.

We do not direct bill to extended health benefits directly but will provide you with a receipt to submit on your own.

It is expected that patients are to understand and keep track of their plan allowances. We will not be responsible if you exceed your allowance. Your therapist will be happy to discuss appropriate treatment planning, as well as alternative options if staying within your allowance is a priority
