Spinal Stenosis
About Spinal Stenosis
Your spinal cord rests in a “tunnel” in your spine called the “vertebral foramen”
Spinal stenosis is the narrowing of that “vertebral foramen. When this space is narrowed, it puts pressure on the spinal cord and the nerves exiting the spine. This pressure can cause pain into your back, and even down your legs.
Pain with “spinal stenosis” typically happens when bending forward.
At Fine Tuned Health & Performance we will perform a physical assessment to determine if the back pain you are experiencing is spinal stenosis. We take a holistic approach in creating a customized plan to promote your recovery so that you can return to your daily activities pain-free!
Chiropractic Care
Some common chiropractic techniques we can perform to treat your pain are spinal mobilizations, positions of relief, and exercise prescription to both relieve pain and strengthen the back to reduce the occurrence of this pain.
