Meet Tatiana

Growing up in a big family, I always wanted to understand what made us different and similar. My favourite shows were Criminal Minds and CSI. This led me to a B.A. Honours in Forensic Psychology. Where I also ran varsity track in my final 2 years.

Once I finished school, I lived overseas doing Humanitarian work and came home due to COVID-19. I decided to pursue a certification at Humber College in Mental Health and Addictions Counselling because of the work I did overseas.

Two smiling people taking a selfie in front of a large statue of a tribal warrior on a concrete platform, with a group of young women in red sports uniforms in the background, under cloudy skies.

During COVID I found my passion for fitness again and also realized the lack of education in sports mental health, especially in competitive sports. This led to my advocating for mental health in youth sports.

Once completed, I worked in difficult and underrepresented communities/populations. During my work I felt ready to complete an M.A and start Psychotherapy. In my most recent years, I’ve worked with children and youth who identify as radicalized, the Guyana women’s soccer team, and autistic and neurodivergent youth.

I use CBT approach with a trauma informed lens while considering mindfulness techniques. There is so much more to my story and my work so please ASK!
